The Jack Grimm Family

Jack Larry Grimm, Jr. arrived as the oldest child with all the unwritten expectations that come with that role: protector, instigator, leader, and steady presence. Over the years he has lived all of those roles fully – sometimes with a straight face, sometimes with a one-liner, and always with a deep sense of responsibility for the people he loves.

Who Jack Is

Jack has one of the strongest, most disciplined personalities I know. He shares that same firm, “get it done” strength that my sister Brenda has – the kind of strong that doesn’t have to shout to be noticed.

He is a protector by nature – first of Nan, then of me, and then of everyone else in the family, especially the women. He can stir up a situation faster than anyone when the brothers are together, but he’s also the one who checks in, makes sure I’m okay, and quietly takes care of things without making a fuss.

Family & Life Today

Jack lives in Round Rock, Texas with his wife, Nan. Together they’ve raised their son, Jack III, who is now grown and making his own way in College Station, Texas.

Jack and Nan have also built a beautiful beach life in Progreso, Yucatán, Mexico, where they own a home just steps from the water. They have opened that home to the rest of us, and every time I visit they make sure I am more than taken care of. It’s one of the places I feel most relaxed and most loved.

Work, Passion & Purpose

Jack doesn’t really separate “work” from “what he’s passionate about.” He owns and leads SecuriMax, a respected home security company in Round Rock. His discipline, high standards, and natural talent for sales have made him a leader in his industry.

New sales reps who join SecuriMax get more than a job – they get real training, real expectations, and a real example in front of them. When Jack teaches sales, he teaches it the right way.

When he’s not working, he’s often at the grill or smoker, turning out turkeys and other holiday favorites, or planning the next family time at the beach.

Favorite Memories

Some of my favorite memories of Jack are from his teenage years, when he would put his arm around me if he could tell something was bothering me. It was a small, simple act, but it told me everything about the man he was becoming.

Our family took many trips to Daytona Beach when the boys were young. We’d pile into the car, meet up with extended family, get far too much sun, eat too much food, nap on the sand, and try to stretch a week at the beach into forever. Those trips shaped a lot of who we became as a family, and Jack was right in the middle of all of it.

Memory Spotlight: The Man He Has Become

I could tell plenty of teenage rebellion stories, but the Jack I see today is the man I would want all my sons to be – and, in many ways, the man they have each become in their own right.

He shows up as a husband, as a father, as a son, and as a brother. He thinks about Nan and Jack III, about me, and about his dad. He keeps our traditions going while also building new ones with his own family, like Thanksgivings spent together and trips to the beach.

This page is here because I want him – and the rest of the family – to see in writing what I see in real life: a strong, intentional, funny, disciplined man who cares deeply and leads quietly, and who makes me proud every single day.
